 Lucy Zhou, second year Undergraduate student in University of Toronto, a current SLAP student won first place in 2021 SLAP student research Day oral presentation competition. While training with SLAP Medical Science, she completed the International Bachelorette Program with higher level biology and chemistry. After high school graduation, the SLAP program continue to support her in undergraduate studies in the University of Toronto. Her goal is to complete her further graduate and PhD level studies in the field of molecular biology and conduct research one day. Currently, Lucy is a second-year undergraduate student working as a student research assistant in Dr. Kenichi Okamoto's Lab, which is in the Department of molecular genetics, faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. When asked about the SLAP program, she replies with:" The SLAP medical science program prepare me for University lelve corses while I was still in high school, and it is now helping me to build a mindset of researchers. I would recommend it to anyone out there looking for these experiences,"

After SLAP Medical science training from 2016-2018, she became a Undergraduate student in McMaster University, major on Health Science, and then she obtained a summer student research position in Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto in Dr. Kenichi Okamoto Lab in her first year and second-year Undergraduate study in McMaster University.
